Vydehi Institute of Nursing and Research Centre introducing new course from the new academic year 2010- 2011: Post Basic BSC in Nursing.
Duration of the course will of 2 years. Candidate must hold a diploma in general Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) and a registered nurse with a minimum of 2 years experience in a hospital or community health nursing.
Post basic in nursing is an undergraduate course Affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University and Health Sciences. It is the up gradation of diploma students to graduate nurses for better prospectus. And aimed to build upon the skills and competencies acquired at the diploma in nursing level. Course will be teaching of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology and pathology integrated with clinical subjects and also subsidiary subject as introduction to nursing research and statistics. It is exclusively bound for to the upgrading of critical thinking skills, competencies and standards required for practice of professional nursing.
