Urology Surgery Treatment Services
The Urology Department of VIMS & RC provides the following services at affordable cost by all sections of the society. We offer one of the most comprehensive treatment and care plans for many urological disorders.
The Government of Karnataka recognizes our centre for liver-related and cadaveric renal transplantation. We carry out Laparoscopic donor nephrectomy, i.e., removal of a kidney from a donor using laparoscopy.
Urology Treatment
Five consultants manage the OPD from 9 to 4 PM on all days except Sunday. They are proficient in performing minor surgical procedures like dilatations, biopsies, stent removals, and cystoscopies. The department has a Uroflowmetry room, ESWL room and minor Operation theatre attached to OPD.
Two Fully equipped Operation theatres support the department. The theatre has a C-Arm, laparoscopy tower with all required endoscopic, laparoscopic, and LASER equipment. Dedicated nursing and paramedical staff ably assist the operative team.
General wards, twin sharing wards, single private wards and deluxe wards are available.
There is a dedicated post-operative ward for taking care of operative cases.
A dedicated ICU team manages the hospital ICU who will also attend to the patients.
Pathology, microbiology, haematology, and biochemistry teams work in a well-equipped laboratory that works round the clock.
Digital X-Ray, CT scan, MRI Scan, Ultrasonography, IVP, RGU, and MCU facilities are readily available.
A dedicated emergency medicine team that functions round the clock manages the emergency department. They coordinate with the consultants to provide emergency services.
