The Department of Orthopaedics at Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre, Whitefield, Bangalore provides comprehensive care for all orthopaedic related problems. The round-the-clock trauma services ensure that no patient is left without care at any point in the day. Our Orthopaedics surgeons specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles and nerves (musculoskeletal system). Subspecialties within the department include adult reconstruction, paediatrics, sports, trauma, spine, foot, hand, shoulder, elbow and orthopaedic oncology.

The faculty are recognized as excellent clinicians, providing care for the most difficult problems in orthopaedic surgery. In addition, they are nationally and internationally known through multiple presentations at national and international platforms. From diagnosis through treatment, our orthopaedic surgeons are at the forefront employing advanced technologies in the best interest of patients.

The institute also has a fully equipped Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation which works in close co-ordination with the department of Orthopaedics for comprehensive care of patients.

Patient / Visitor Information
  • Appointments to patients are given on day to day basis depending on the units functioning.
  • Procedures are done as early or immediately depending on the fitness of the patient.
  • Emergency procedures are carried out immediately
  • Hospital stay varies from 3 days to 2 weeks depending on the condition of the patient
  • Visitors are not allowed during the Doctors rounds & they have to strictly follow the schedule of the visiting timings.
