The selection of students to medical college is strictly based on merit of the candidate and will be followed as per Medical Council of India Regulations on Graduate Medical Education,1997

Duration of the Course
Every student shall undergo a period of certified study extending over 4 ½ academic years divided into 9 semesters,(i.e. of 6 months each) from the date of commencement of his study for the subjects comprising the medical curriculum to the date of completion of the examination and followed by one year compulsory rotating internship.

Postgraduate Degree (MD/MS)/ Diploma courses
Eligibility Criteria regarding age and Qualifying Marks for different categories are as Per The Medical Council Of India Regulations On Postgraduate Medical Education Regulations, 2000
Selection of Candidates
Seats are allotted by merit selection which is based on National Eligibility cum Entrance Test(NEET – PG) of National Board of Examinations conducted for management quota and Government Quota Seats sharing as per consensual Agreement between Government of Karnataka and Management and admission in the NRI seats.
The admission in various Postgraduate courses (for Diploma, MD/MS, DM) are strictly made in accordance with the provisions of Indian Medical Act, 1956 and Postgraduate Medical Education Regulations 2000
Super Speciality Courses
Candidates should have obtained permanent registration with Medical Council of India / State Medical Councils & Karnataka Medical Council and should submit the same on or before the commencement of classes
