The process of writing the new definition for medical education by VIMS&RC started in the year 2000. With this legacy, the Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre is creating history through its academic achievements and social responsibilities. The moulding of the future doctors was initiated with a small group of 100 students and is now catering medical knowledge to thousands of students. EM Karnataka is an affiliation comprising of Emergency Physicians from across the state. Emergency Medicine is flourishing as a speciality and Karnataka personifies that aspect as much as any other state. Every year the EM-Karnataka Family keeps increasing with new faces joining the fold in various institutes within the state. Under the banner of EMK, these physicians assemble once a month to hold an academic session for the purpose of sharing knowledge. This academic tradition has gone on for the past two and a half years without a single session missed.<\/p>

The Conference included several hands-on workshops, panel discussions and competitions and was lauded as a huge success by delegates and faculty alike.
