EM JAM Competition
- Fun for all Postgraduates & consultants. Show off how you live and breathe emergency medicine.
- All participants will be participating as individuals and not as a team.
- You will be a given a basic EM topic, and one person will be given a chance to talk about it first.
- The speaker can be JAM-med by any of the contestants for Repetition of the idea, wrong fact, significant pause, or stammer.
- In case of a dispute, judges/JAM master's decision stands
- With a successful JAM, the mic will go to the next speaker, and so on.
- You will be scored positive points for talking and successful JAM and negatives for wrong JAM.
- Last person standing with the mic at the end of the minute is awarded extra points.

General Rules For Competitions
- Applicants should be registered as delegates for EM Karnataka 2023.
- Entries for the competitions will not be considered unless the applicant has registered for the conference.
- Applicants can apply to multiple competitions.
- Applicants are expected to abide by the rules of EM Karnataka 2023and violation of rules can lead to disqualification.
- The scientific committee’s decision regarding selection will be final.
- Submitted abstracts should be original and should not have been published or presented elsewhere prior to the conference.
- All submissions should fulfil appropriate ethical guidelines.
- All data and information should be anonymized with respect to patient identification.
